Understand what changes the price before you place the order.
Start with a visual embroidery size, improve the estimate with exact dimensions, or use a known stitch count. Multiple placements, rebranding and personalisation can be added to the same job.
Width × height
Higher-confidence estimateEnter the intended embroidery dimensions in millimetres. This improves scale accuracy but stitch density can still change the final production price.
DST + stitches
Production estimateA known stitch count, particularly with the correct DST file, gives the strongest automated pricing basis before final production approval.
What can appear on a quote?
A real embroidery job can contain more than one line.
Each logo placement is priced separately. Add chest, sleeve, back or another compatible position before entering the full order builder.
Employee names, job titles or department text can be attached as a CSV list. If a fixed personalisation rate has not been configured, the system marks this line for review rather than inventing a price.
If artwork needs embroidery digitising or setup, the requirement is confirmed after artwork review unless a fixed rate has been approved in the pricing configuration.
R20 excl. VAT per garment for each old logo position when standard unpicking is suitable. High-risk garments are sent for manual inspection instead.
If Embroiders is supplying blank garments, garment cost is quoted separately from embroidery so the production service remains transparent.
The calculator separates the services subtotal excl. VAT, VAT and estimated total incl. VAT.
SIZE IS NOT STITCH COUNT
Two 100 mm logos can be completely different embroidery jobs.
A simple wordmark may require far fewer stitches than a dense crest at the same physical size. That is why the estimator shows a confidence level and why uploaded artwork or a DST improves the quote.
Final production pricing can change after artwork review where unusually dense, complex or technically unsuitable artwork changes the actual stitch requirement.

What buyers usually need to know.
How much does logo embroidery cost?+
The price depends on embroidery size or stitch count, quantity, number of positions and any additional services. Use the online estimator for a job-specific amount before artwork review.
Why can two logos of the same size cost differently?+
Physical size does not determine stitch count by itself. A dense crest can contain substantially more stitches than a simple wordmark at the same dimensions.
Can I price embroidery without knowing stitch count?+
Yes. Start with a visual embroidery size or enter the intended width and height in millimetres. Uploading artwork improves the estimate, while a DST and known stitch count provide the strongest automated pricing basis.
How much does embroidery removal cost?+
Standard unpicking is R20 excl. VAT per garment for each old logo position when the garment is suitable for removal. High-risk fabrics require manual inspection and may need a covering patch instead.
